Hello, I am Niko, a member of the RoboSap team.
In this manual I will show you how to rewind and renovate the old single-phase motor.
I bought this motor when I sold it in the garage.
It\'s cheap. we know the car is burnt out.
I decided to buy a car and try to renovate it.
In the next steps, I will show you how to disassemble the motor, remove the bearing, draw the winding drawing, rewind the motor, select the correct capacitor and reassemble it with the new bearing.
Rewinding is a very long process.
It will take about two days to rewind, replace all the old parts and reassemble them.
The single-phase motor usually has two coils, and the resistance of the main coil is large (
Generate pulsating magnetic field)
And Auxiliary with less resistance (
Give the motor a direction of rotation).
There must be capacitance on the motor.
For different electric engines, its value is different (
For small electric engines around 20 microF).
2 capacitance can be used on the motor, \"running\" capacitor (
Always connected, low capacitance value)
And the \"start\" capacitor (
Connected with a centrifugal switch with a high capacitance value)
Figure 1: Single-phase motor scheme Figure 2: Operation and star capacitance Figure 3: stator wire (
There should be 4 lines from the stator)
If you do not have professional equipment, it is very time consuming to rewind and disassemble the motor.
You need the following tools :-Basic tools (
Screwdriver, hammer, wrench. . . )-
Bearing pulley-
Chisel, cut the old windingButane torch (
Or other heating devices)
Special Materials :-Copper wire -Isolate paper-
Stator lace line
Spray lubricant (WD-40 or similar)-
The motor lacquer took a few photos of the motor and removed the fan shield.
Normally, the lid is not screwed on the housing with a screw, but it is just plugged into the housing.
Put all the dismounting parts of the motor in a box so you don\'t lose them.
Gently heat and remove the motor fan.
Be careful, you don\'t break it, it should go well.
You can disassemble it with two large screwdrivers.
As you can see on the picture, our motor fan is broken and we need new ones.
After removing the motor fan, remove the fixture from the shaft.
Mark the position of a single lid on the side of the lid (
Usually we place numbers 1,2, 3 on the side of the lid, so we\'ll know how to assemble it).
Screw the screws that fix the lid (picture 2).
Remove the cover of the motor and put it in the box with other parts.
I realized it when I canceled my expectations.
A motor winding is burnt out (
Black and smell of burnt paint).
I found that the bearing was also broken (
It makes a loud sound when you rotate it).
Screw the screws that fix the front cover (
As you did before. .
Gently remove the front cover with the rotor from the main housing and put it into the box with other components.
Screw down the screws that fix the top cover.
Remove the top cover and seal it and put it into the box with other parts.
Take a few photos of the electrical installation and remove all the wires and electrical clips.
If there is a capacitor on the motor, remove the capacitor (We were cut off).
Try to write down all the information on the inscription board.
It is located on the shell of the car.
There is some useful information on it (
Voltage, current, number of laps per minute, capacitor. . . ).
In the next steps, we will make a winding drawing.
If you have one, you can\'t skip the title \"winding the drawing \". What is a winding drawing?
The winding diagram is a diagram that helps you rewind the motor.
It shows how the stator coils are connected to each other.
Number of slots (
Stator gap, see the picture).
I counted 24 gaps.
Open your best drawing program and draw 1 square for each connected slot.
Each coil is placed in 2 slots.
Draw the coil from the stator to the winding diagram.
Do the same for all coils.
There can be no two coils in one gap (
If you\'re singlelayer winding).
All gaps need to be filled.
Marking the output coil wire (
Wire attached to the clip).
Heat the old winding so that the old paint is burnt out, but be careful not to damage the copper wire.
When you can clearly see that the hot coil is connected, select an output line and draw its path with an arrow.
Do the same for the second pair of output wires.
You can draw the gap in the circle, Mark x (wire in)and . (wire out).
Now you can draw the path of the magnetic field (picture 3).
Cut the wires of different coils and count them to measure their diameter.
Write the number of wires in each coil in the winding diagram.
Now your winding drawing is complete! Be careful.
If your coils are made of two parallel wires, you can replace them with one wire.
Measure the diameter of 1 line.
Calculate the board of 1 line and multiply it with 2 lines.
Now calculate 1 line from your plate. (
The new wire must have the same plate with the old 2 wires).
Use a hammer and chisel to cut off the old winding.
Try not to damage the stator.
When you cut the old winding on a website, you can continue (Picture 5).
Heat the other side of the old winding and pull it out using a crowbar.
Do these for all coils.
Clean the gap with a screwdriver or iron rod before the stator heats up, but do not damage the stator sheet.
If you have one, remove the screw or safety metal rod and pull the pulley from the shaft.
Heating the pulley if necessary (not axis! ! ! ! )
Torch with Butan
Cover the wood so that the rotor does not touch the bottom.
Place a piece of wood on the shaft of the rotor and hit it with a hammer until the rotor is separated from the cover.
Remove the bearings on both sides using pull pul.
The axis of the rotor shall not be damaged.
The car was covered with concrete so we decided to blast it.
Do not use sandblast or scratch the stator plates, they are made of rust-resistant iron.
Put the isolation paper on the table and put the ruler on it so that you can screw out about 4mm of the gap after inserting the isolation paper.
The length of the gap and increase by about 16mm (
Depends on how you will twist the paper).
Cut and twist it like I did on the picture.
Bend it and insert the gap using a screwdriver.
It should be very suitable so you can\'t take it out.
Figure 11, front of motor, Figure 12, back of motor.
Do the same for all gap smake coil models with a wire, leaving more space.
Put it on the \"winding machine\" to get the distance.
Turn off the model and set the winding machine to the correct distance and start the winding (
The number of wires you wrote in the online circle before).
For the same coil, you can use the same distance.
You can make a winding machine at home.
I redrew my in fusion 360 so you can print it out and make one for yourself.
Place the coil in the center of the stator.
It may take a long time.
Gently so that you don\'t damage the wire paint.
Rotate the coils so that their end lines come out from the side, where are the holes from the stator to the electric clip.
Connect the coil according to the winding diagram.
Remove the isolation, then weld the copper wire and isolate them with heat shrinkage.
Connect ordinary wires with end coil wires and heat shrink (picture 9).
Attach them to the clip.
Combine the coil with the stator lace line.
As you can see in the picture, sew the stator rotation line around the coil.
Do the same thing on the other side of the motor. 3.
Turn the motor and do the same thing.
Old paint can be reused. 5.
Put the motor into a hot oven and cook for about 4 hours.
Remove the motor and clean the Edge (
So the cover is perfect).
You can find the right bearing by measuring the diameter of the old bearing.
Then you can find the new one in this directory.
There are also small numbers on the edge of the bearing that you can read (
If 6302).
Lubricate the shaft of the rotor with lubricant and install the bearing on the shaft.
Lubricate the bearing bed on two covers with lubricant.
Place the first cover on the rotor (
Don\'t forget the Spring washer).
Then place the stator on the first cover and screw it (
Don\'t forget to stick the screws).
After placing a second cover at the top of the stator and tightening it (glue screws).
When I cleaned the fan, I realized it cracked.
I made the aluminum ring on the lathe and stuck it on the fan.
Install the fixture on the rotor shaft.
Install the motor fan on the rotor (
You can heat it with an industrial fan, but don\'t overheat as it becomes very soft and can change the shape).
You can buy new ones if your fans have cracks, they are cheap.
I just wanted to tell you that you can fix it.
I sandblasted it with soldering iron and iron mesh and fixed the cracks, then heated it with plastic.
I painted it black and installed it on the motor (
No screws required).
Install a capacitor on a motor with a zipper (
As I did on the picture, drill holes in the Shell).
If you do not have a capacitor, there is the correct value on the motor inscription label on the housing (
My motor is 20 microF).
The wire of the motor connection box.
The power cord is introduced into the junction box and tightened so it cannot be pulled out.
When I draw on Figure 3, the wire clip.
My lid seal was damaged so I made a new one with the old rubber sponge.
Screw sleeve on motor.
Lubricate the rotor shaft with lubricant and install it on the pulley.
Insert the motor and measure its current (
My motor is about 1A).
If it goes well than you did.
The Rewinding motor takes a lot of time, just like your first rewinding.
But when you see the finished product, the wasted time is rewarding.
If you have any questions, please write them down in the comments below and I will try to resolve them.
