The DC motor uses direct current instead of alternating current. The invention of the motor was derived from Faradays\'s law of induction. When you close the magnet to the electric conductor, there will be current in the conductor. For DC motors, only the conductors move, not the magnets, because the current is used from another energy source (battery ). You should keep in mind that when the current goes through the wire, it creates a magnetic field around the wire. Make sure you have the following 1. A set of thin copper. A magnet 3. A plastic cup ( For insulation)4. A 1. 5v battery 5. A VOLTMETER ( Very important)6. Some brushes ( Remove the oxidized materials used on the copper line 1. Cut the copper wire into two pieces, each 160mm long. 2. Brush each at both ends in order to make electricity better. 3. Insert both sides of the pure copper wire (box or cup). And bend each wire slightly at one end of each copper wire to keep the coil in place ( See below)4. Make a circular coil spring and allow the ends on both sides of the coil to stretch. ( Use some tape to keep the coil together)( See below)5. Place the magnet on the top of the box and place the coil on the wire of the curved coil. 6. Connect the battery on the other end and you should notice that the coil will start to spin. 7. The reading of the voltmeter should be the same as the battery you are using.
